Resolutions Update

By Ann in Personal

Since this is the first year I’ve actually made more than one sensible resolution, with the firm intent of keeping them, let’s see how I’m doing.

1. Pass driving test

Need to learn to drive, starting in March, probably Easter holidays.

2. Do all work on the day it’s set, or if that isn’t possible the next free time

I haven’t been doing work on the day it’s set, but barring a couple of days when I’m tired and did it in the morning, all work has been completed or nearly-completed at home, in the evening, instead of on the way to the lesson. Progress has been made: I’ll aim to get 50% of my work done on the day it’s set by the end of term.

3. Get straight As in all exams, class tests included – which means…

Class tests this week. Grades will be all down to…

4. Revise for at least three hours a day over the holidays/study leave, or one hour if I’m working

I was working 9-5 over the past week, and underestimated how tired I would be when I wrote this: I haven’t revised at all. Thankfully I have no tests tomorrow, but most are on Tuesday and Wednesday, so I’ll need to see how my grades are after starting revising at 4pm Sunday afternoon before class tests week. I’m not counting this as completely broken, it’s a miracle I’m going to revise at all (the reason behind writing this post was to tell you that I’m going to revise now, for the purposes of guilt-tripping myself later if I don’t).

5. Get a student card so I can get discounts everywhere

Should arrive this week – one res. almost completed!

6. Reply to all emails within a week of getting them

I haven’t actually been keeping track, but so far I’m not doing too badly – now to actually reply after receiving…

So, how are all your resolutions going?
