Look What Dropped In My Inbox

By Ann in Personal

Turns out all that work I did in the summer wasn’t for nothing after all.

CONGRATULATIONS! Your Nuffield project has now been assessed and I am pleased to confirm that you have achieved a CREST Award at Gold level.

As a Nuffield bursary student you can nominate your work online to win a chance to compete in the National Science and Engineering Competition and the National CREST finals, both to be held at the Big Bang in March 2010 in Manchester.

We would particularly recommend you to nominate your project for this, as your report achieved a high mark in the assessment.

This amazing three day event sees the best youth science and engineering project compete for thousands of pounds worth or prizes and ‘money cannot buy’ experience trips. What’s even better is that students get their hotel, food and some money towards their travel all covered for them and a supervising adult if needed.

There are also opportunities to meet professional scientists and talk about your work, visit talks and shows and exhibitions by leading industries and some social events to.

Etc.

Of course, it would mean even more if I were doing a science/technology subject at Uni, but I’m pleased nonetheless.
